One of London’s most respected Psychotherapists” [Psychology Today]

If you baulk at the idea of therapy, then I am the therapist for you.

I run an intellectually distinctive practice in Sloane Square where I work with people who hold or have held significant positions of responsibility and require highly nuanced original thinking and understanding.

Following a free introductory session (I never charge for our first meeting) I write a full written report and devise a programme of therapy that I believe will benefit you.  More than just a record of what was said, my reports combine insights from philosophy, literature, and the arts to help you make sense of complex experiences and see yourself in a new light; - being written about is a profound aesthetic experience as well as a practical aide and clients often describe these reports as an invaluable resource that they return to long after our sessions have ended.

My approach is highly bespoke. Sessions are longer than the traditional therapy hour, allowing us to explore issues in depth and calibrate emergent feelings and behaviours.   The work can be described as ‘hermeneutic’ in that we look at both the whole and the constituent parts of your life.  Sometimes we will be emersed in current pressing matters and sometimes we may be more reflective and consider the greater context of your life.  I am a great listener, but more than that, I am highly pro-active in sessions and often bring materials, strategies, techniques and research to the meetings.  This however, in not an academic process, it is a therapeutic process, which aims to help you feel better and maintain that optimism, within a specific period of time.

Once the session is over, it doesn’t end there.  I support clients in the interim period between sessions via call, text or email, so that they ‘keep the new momentum going’.  Whether just a light touch check-in or a more in-depth call to reinforce key messages, this support can really be the difference in making positive change happen.

Alongside my private practice in Belgravia, London, I lecture and write on identity, longevity and personal growth. I have a particular interest in helping people navigate life's major transitions with courage, perspective and purpose. If you are at a crossroads, facing an important decision, or simply feel that life could be lived with greater clarity and intention, I would be delighted to hear from you.
