About Me
Dr Sarah McIntyre
BA., MPhil., (Cantab.)
As the Phi symbol suggests, Philosophy is at the heart of all my therapy. I studied Existentialist Philosophy at the University of Cambridge (Gonville & Caius) and have lectured within the German Department on both Freud and Heidegger. My doctoral research considered Heidegger’s Magnum Opus, Being and Time and it is through this lens that I direct my Existential Psychotherapy practice.
With a philosophical outlook (and a good sense of humour!) I try to create a setting for therapy that is free thinking and without judgement. Grounded in intelligent, compassionate thought, my sessions can facilitate nuanced emotional balance as well as practical problem solving. - From the mundane to the profound, my therapy offers the opportunity for greater understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.
